Circle Research is a Toronto based beat making duo. They released an interesting 12" earlier this year called "The Who EP, with some tracks from this album released a couple of weeks ago. Most of the tracks are about one minuite long, in other words, this album is more for listening than using in your next mixtape.Circle Research uses many of the classic hiphop breaks and samples on the album, but they put them in a new perspective and create a hybrid between the classix and the hip hop sound we're looking for in 2008.
The album is released on the german label "Melting Pot", which is a very interesting label for those who haven't checked them out yet.
At the end I have to add some credits to the man behind the artwork of this record, it's fuckin brutal..
